SUSTAINABILITY IN AFRICA

The concept of sustainable development (SD) originated from ecology. Still, with the progress of related studies, it gradually evolved into a comprehensive concept, including economy, society, and environment. It demands action on its three dimensions by developing policies fostering economic growth, greater social equality, and reducing negative environmental impacts.

This seminar will focus on sustainable development and the fact that it has increasingly played a key role in government policymaking worldwide, especially for the least developed countries in Africa. Experienced leaders in sustainability will review the status of sustainability on the continent, consider various solutions and ideas for improvement, and discuss the formulation of sustainable development policies.
