Anat Lewin the World Bank’s Global Lead for Digital Safeguards, covering Cybersecurity and Data Protection. She leads a team of professionals working on policy advice, analytical research and investment lending activities in Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Data Governance.
Anat advises developing country governments on cybersecurity good practice institutional & governance frameworks, technical & operational capacity building and digital skills & awareness raising programs. This technical assistance is offered to developing country governments in tandem with World Bank financing for large-scale investments in cybersecurity.
Anat holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto, Trinity College, in Canada. She also studied International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Advanced Arabic at the University of Jordan in Amman.
Prior to joining the World Bank in 2000, Anat worked for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as an ICT Project Manager.
